This policy explains what information The Memory Index collects when you use memoryindex.org, why we collect it, and what control you have over it.
Assessment data. When you complete the assessment we store your responses (correct or incorrect for each task), your dimension scores, your overall band, and a generated assessment ID. This is stored without your name unless you provide one.
Name. If you buy a report, the name you type is stored so it can be printed on your certificate.
Email address. Optional on the results page, and collected by our payment processor when you purchase. We use it to deliver your report and to answer support requests.
Payment information. Card details are entered directly with Stripe, our payment processor. We never see or store your card number.
Usage data. Standard analytics about page visits and the steps you reach in the assessment, used to understand where people get stuck.
To produce and deliver your Memory Index report, to provide support and refunds, to keep the service running securely, and to improve the assessment. We do not sell your data and we do not share it with third parties for advertising.
Stripe (payment processing), our hosting and database provider (site delivery and data storage), and Google Analytics via Google Tag Manager (usage statistics). Each acts on our instructions.
Assessment records and purchase records are kept for as long as needed to support reassessment comparisons, refunds and accounting obligations. You can ask us to delete your record at any time.
If you are in the EU or UK, you have the right to access, correct, export or delete your data, and to object to processing. Email support@memoryindex.org with your assessment ID and we will respond within 30 days.
We use a small amount of browser storage to remember your progress through the assessment, and analytics cookies to count visits. You can clear these at any time in your browser settings.
The Memory Index is an educational self-assessment. It is not a clinical diagnostic and your results are not medical records. If you are concerned about your memory, speak to a doctor.
